Russell Crowe has denied that he's set to play a part in a remake of Michael Crichton's sci-fi thriller Westworld.

It was rumoured that the Gladiator actor had signed up for a new version of the 1973 film, which was also author Crichton's first undertaking as a big screen director and also starred Yul Brynner as a gunslinging android at a fantasy theme park.

"WestWorld purely a rumour, I've never been contacted about it," The Daily Star quoted Crowe as tweeting. (ANI)
