    Recent snow allows Tahoe-area resorts to open additional runs

    Following last week's storms, Lake Tahoe ski parks are opening more runs this weekend.Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe now has 80 percent of its runs open, the resort reported.

    It will operate 24 lifts on 66 trails.Northstar-at-Tahoe now has 95 percent of its terrain open.

    Located between Tahoe and Truckee, the resort has 15 lifts serving 89 trails.
